{charlotte} my first little hero

Meet Charlotte. My first Little Hero!

A couple months ago I was accepted into the Littlest Heroes Program. They connect photographers with families who have children with childhood diseases, and the photographer donates their time and services to the family. I was SO excited when I got my first inquiry! And here she is, Miss Charlotte!

Charlotte was adopted from China. She was born with a neural tube defect called enchephalocele, and also has hydrocyphalis. She had surgery at 1 week old, and lived in an orphanage until her parents adopted her.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed Charlotte and her family. It was such a blessing to be able to learn her story, and get to meet this little hero. And I'm also excited to meet her soon to be big sister...her mom and dad are adopting another girl from China and will have her so very soon. This family is such a loving inspiration!!

Joyful, silly, sweet, on the go, smart, full of heart, spunky, and easy to fall in love with...that's Charlotte!!

This is her 'mad' face! :)

And here's Charlotte with her amazing big brother. This first picture melts my heart!!

Kristi,
Wow! Monty and I are speechless right now because these pictures are absolutely breathtaking. We are so grateful to you, you have truly given us a gift that we will treasure forever!! You captured the "essence" of our precious little hero, as well as the charm and sweetness of Carter! You truly have a gift, we are forever grateful!! We can't wait to have you take Liliana's picture as well and a complete family picture once we get back from China. Thank you so much!!!!!
